What is the best connection to use from my cable box to TV?
Currently I have a coax cable connecting my digital cable box to my TV. I recently found out that this is not the best connection. It appears that I do not have HDMI or component ports on my cable box but I do have an S-video port. Should I connect the cable box to the tv by S-video? If I do so, will I also need to connect the two with an audio cable?
I don’t understand why any connector (hdmi, component, s-video) from my cable box to tv would improve the connection over coax. The cable line (from the outside) that goes into the cable box is coax. Why would it improve if the cable goes through the coax and then one of the above connections??? Isn’t the quality already diminished due to the coax cable from the outside??? I’m a bit confused…thanks!
PS: I have a 50″ Sony WEGA (720p) projector

How do I hook up my surround sound receiver to my TV using the TV as audio, not the surround sound speake?
I want to use my surround sound receiver without the surround sound speakers. I basically want to use the receiver as a DVD player for my room, but the surround sound speakers would be a bit much. Therefore, I want to use the TV as audio. Is there a way to do this?

How do I keep my 2yr old twins from playing with buttons on TV?
The TV in their bedroom is a 20″ old style tube TV so it’s really bulky. Our walls won’t hold it to mount it because it is too heavy. We thought about baby gates but nothing to attach them to where the TV sits (plus they just climb them anyways). I need a safe way to allow my twins to watch TV in their room without them breaking it. And by the way, I have tried the discipline thing but they are just curious 2yr olds. Any serious ideas are welcome.

Why does prime time TV start earlier in the midwest?
Why does prime time TV start at 7pm in the midwest and end at 10pm while on the east and west coast it starts at 8 and ends at 11? Is there a financial, sociological, or cultural reason for this? When did it start? Why do all the networks do it this way? What time does prime time TV start in mountain time zone, or in Alaska or Hawaii? Further, does cable tv have prime time and do they vary there prime time starting time based on geography? Thanks!
