How do I connect my laptop to tv to watch movies?

Does your laptop have a vga or dvi port on it and does your tv have any video inputs like vga,dvi or hdmi? If so then your vga on computer can connect to vga on tv or the dvi can connect to dvi or dvi on computer can connect to hdmi on tv (an adapter will be needed to convert dvi to hdmi plugs).You will also need the correct cables. In all cases you will to connect audio out from computer to audio in on tv. The correct sources will then have to be selected on the tv. I use my laptop all the time to watch movies. I’m not sure what cable or connector you may need, but I have to suggest you look into a laptop desk. They basically can either lift your laptop up off your desk and keep it cool or if you use your laptop on your lap it helps you balance and makes it so much easier to enjoy. This is the laptop desk I have, and you can see its many functions so it comes in handy if your using your laptop for extended periods of time. [who]
