I subscribed to a streaming video site and they have a lot of things I like to watch.

What equipment would I need to purchase to make sure those things can be viewed on a tv monitor?

I assume I’d need some sort of connecting wire from my computer to the tv. A high definition tv? And perhaps a special video card?

Anyone done this with success?

I’ve noticed that whenever they show a Tv screen or a computer screen(especially) on TV there always seem to be lines going across the screen from top to bottom (except in the highest quality video). Have you noticed that? What causes it?

I want to connect my computer to my tv using an s-video to s-video cable, but when I connect the two the resolution on the tv is awful. However as I decrease the resolution on my laptop the resolution increases on the tv. When I close the lid of my laptop, my tv shows the resolution on my laptop so I know that the tv is capable of the resolution of my laptop. Does anyone know how to make the resolution on my tv the resolution of my laptop(1440 by 900)? Thanks a million.

I have a gateway 23″ monitor. It has a High Definition screen and with windows vista (not sure how to use yet) there is a media center where I believe I can watch tv. The problem arises that we are building a Spa and want a tv there but do not want to invest in an expensive tv as we are not sure how the moisture will affect it, any ideas? Also, can we go wireless?
